Its not the 1st April. I guess I understand why he would want a move to the Championship. Can't see it happening though surely his wages would be too high.

I think despite his advancing years, he'd still be able to hack it in the Championship. It's not like he's ever shied away from a physical confrontation in his game, and as others have said, his experience could be invaluable to all the youngsters who are now in and around the first team squad.

Would be very happy if true and affordable - mainly because I think it would be a huge positive for our youngsters to work alongside a player with his technique. In some ways it seems ridiculous, but I think it is worth noting that we are lacking in numbers in terms of experience and also in terms of coaching staff if he is so inclined. On his day he was an absolutely magnicficent player.

As long as he doesn't "do a Sol" and quit after two games when he realises the standard he's agreed to play at.
