Crystal Palace striker Jamie Scowcroft admits he has been a flop.
Scowcroft moved from Coventry in a £500,000 deal last summer, but has only found the net four times from 31 appearances.
He said: "My goal return's been very disappointing. It's easy to deflect the blame, but sometimes you have to be honest with yourself and say you haven't done enough.”
Manager Peter Taylor’s negative style of play meaning less chances are created has not helped Scowcroft and fellow forwards CLINTON MORRISON, Shefki Kuqi and Dougie Freedman.
"As a striker you can only do so much,” said Scowcroft. “I'm sure the manager will think long and hard over the summer about which players he brings in.
"It's definitely food for thought. I'm sure he'll want to address the lack of goals, and also the lack of service to the strikers."
