Team news

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak makes a welcome return to the side after missing the last two matches due to collecting 10 bookings this season.

Jon Williams is available after a recovering from a knee injury sustained against Ipswich but full-back Jonathan Parr is out for the season with ankle ligament damage after limping off in the same game. Midfielder OWEN GARVAN is close to full fitness but this game may be one too soon.

Blackburn players Colin Kazim-Richards (shoulder), David Dunn (ankle) and Markus Olsson (hamstring) picked up injuries against Millwall and will be assessed.

Jason Lowe (knee), Gael Givet (hamstring), Martin Olsson (ankle) and David Bentley (knee) will also be checked on.

However, striker Leon Best (banned), Jake Kean (knee), Paul Robinson (back/lung), Adam Henley (hamstring), Dickson Etuhu (knee) and DJ Campbell (foot) are all out.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"The atmosphere, the attitude, it just feels different. The boys feel like they have turned the corner.

"There is a good feeling around the place now. Results will show that, so let’s see. We have been talking about cutting out mistakes and working as a group. We know what we have to achieve and I expect us to get what we need in the remaining games.

"It has been a shock to everyone how things have been going but I have got a fantastic feeling with this group. The focus is there and we have got to do it for our fans.

"Let’s see if we can. I believe we can. It is about getting over the line and we can go a long way to doing that against Blackburn.

"Everybody is under pressure in football. I did not like it at Blackpool because I felt part of me was not under pressure there because the chairman gave me a rolling contract and sometimes that is not what you need.

"You need to fight and need to win games. I came here for the long term and if I do not do better in the short term, I might not have a long term. We could have a fantastic future together but I must earn that right."

Jonathan Parr

"The scan showed that the ligaments in my ankle were completely torn. I am going to stay for treatment this weekend instead of travelling with the team to Blackburn.

"I just have to let my ankle rest for the time being and let it settle down. It's not fun to sit watching but I think we are in a great position to get into the play-offs. I am hoping to be back for pre-season training."

Gary Bowyer

"We've just got to keep concentrating and stay level-headed. We've got to stay calm, positive and stick together to try and get over the line on Saturday. Psychologically [the win over Millwall] will help us with the confidence going into the game.

"If we can keep the winning form that would be great as it's the last home game of the season. We would like the supporters to come out as it's been a collective effort."

Scott Dann

"We’ve got ourselves in a position now where we’re five points clear of the drop zone with two games to go.

"We know it’s still mathematically possible but after performing like that at Millwall we want to go into the Crystal Palace game at home with the fans behind us and win that game as well.

"We want to make sure we don’t count on other results and really put it to bed before the final game of the season.

"We’ve won three out of four now and there are still teams around us.

"We can’t rely on any others, we’ve got it in our own hands and we’ll be going into Saturday with a lot of confidence from Tuesday."
