The Chelsea valuation was madness IMHO, but just shows, a little like a player's valuation, it is worth what someone is prepared to pay. Abramovich bought Chelsea for c£150m and they made a loss of c£100m each year whilst he was the owner. He covered this with loans. So by the end the loans stood at over £1bn. To pay £2.5bn and then invest another £1.5bn seems madness IMHO.

the land price in Croydon is £4,670. per square metre, if, as i assume we do own it since it was bought back from Noades, its a lot of cash, and would the training ground be bought in to the value, as i have said Transfermkt values our squad at 317m GBP, with Olise highest at 43m GBP

The practice of transfers between related clubs is one that favours bigger clubs. How can you be certain of the true value of the players?

Clearly it's not as simple as evaluating all the assets.. Still £200M, even £340M seems way low to me when you take into account the assets, squad value etc.. At that rate single players/transfers are going for half the value of an entire established Prem League Club.. Just really don't understand the basis of calculation to establish a/the valuation. I guess like all things in this world comes down to what someone will pay for it and what the seller will accept - so there's no established formula at all..!! COYP
