Easy, there are 4 of them, they get 1 vote each, ergo 25%. If there were 10 of them that's 10%.

I agree, always been a Parish fan, saving the club, etc but the other 3 that put their money in have sold out, the 25% voting each is stalemate, 3 votes needed, will only happen if H&B or a supporter of them buys the 45% shares, C-T and E13 can we get the funds together

The problem seems to be that if we are to move beyond our current existence we need investment but if anyone is going to pump some money into the club they will want the control that would dictate, and Parish is unwilling to relinquish that.

You could view it through a lens of Parish being completely selfish and narcissistic however I don't believe this to be the primary issue, if one at all. I am inclined to believe that Parish has the best interests of CPFC at heart therefore is very, very cautious and apprehensive. I don't blame him.

I'd imagine in Parish's world, somebody would invest the money he does not have but allow him to continue running things in the successful manner he has done thus far. The reality of this happening however may be highly unlikely.

I'll happily admit I have no idea. If we do somehow start stringing results together, and make a couple more signings which prove highly successful and bring in a new manager we all take to, I'll thank whatever deity for Parish once more. If however we continue to stagnate or even regress, I am guessing I will not be alone in demanding change and assuming it necessary for us going forward.

As things stand, I feel as though many of the fanbase have seen the novelty of the PL wear off, are tired of the same old players trotted out week after week, year after year with no new ideas, and watching football seemingly reliant upon mentally defeating the opponents as they succumb to severe depression and disillusionment, along with our fans.

The time must be drawing near to anything different being more welcome than more of the last 6/7 years yet again. If that goes wrong though, how many will turn round and say 'Yeah we should of just kept trotting along'? Hindsight always a wonderful thing.

Well there's been radio silence from Parish, Harris and Blitzer ( sound like a firm of estate agents ).

All we have is reports from '' sources '' that Textor is thinking of selling up. I can understand his frustration with the voting rights but I also think Parish is protecting the club from Textor taking the ownership in a totally different direction.

And so we have something of a stalemate. H and B are seemingly passive and let Parish run the club. They also reportedly wanted out to bid for Chelsea and then Man Utd. Did they discover that selling their shares was problematical with Parish still in place ?

As far as I'm aware the barrier has been price for the potential buyers. They know they need to upgrade the stadium so when asked for 100s of millions, they know they have to factor in 100s of millions more. That, plus one look at the books show that we barely break even. You have to consider say, if you paid 500mil (half a billion) for Palace and the new main stand - then you wanted to sell ten years down the line - how much would you make? There's a decent chance you'd lose money, quite a bit of money.

I'm not a lawyer/solicitor or anything but no matter what Parish wants, if someone buys control of the club, he'll have to go. But they will need a proper 90-100% share. Not the current faffing around.

I can say with some certainty that we had a couple of bids turned down recently enough. Maybe just before Covid. Each time Harris and Blitzer wanted considerably more. The bids were around 200mil but a considerable amount higher was asked for. I heard we're asking for 350-400 mil now - which puts us in the crazy rich owner stakes.

I have encountered supporters who are of this mindset.
Total disillusionment, and would not mind a scenario whereby we actually won more games in the Championship and played more inspiring football. There is also the belief that playing in the Championship would provide more opportunity to 'Blood' some of the Academy players.

I DARESAY at least 50% of premier fans would share this view about their own clubs.
Other than say Man City, Spurs, Newcastle and one or two other top teams who play electric football, I would imagine most fans want more excitement a new striker and far less regulation and VAR killing their thrills.

Very much agree and a potential appointment of Cooper may not be a bad idea,as he has bucket loads of experience where we may well be heading, the Championship.

I understand that argument however winning 'more games in the C'ship' is no guarantee plus the only aspiration there would be to get back to where we are now.

Personally, I'd rather we loosen up slightly, actually buy some players to form a competitive first XI and as opposed to playing for 0-1 victories every match, which are few and far between in any instance, us as fans can watch Palace play with some enthusiasm knowing we are giving it a go beyond just trying to stifle the opposition.

The thoughts on academy players graduating up to be revelations is romantic and exciting however this should not interfere in perceptions of reality. Sometimes they are not coming through for good reason. Even when they do, didn't we have the likes of Moses, Zaha, Bostock, Routledge, Watson, J.Gray, Soares, Grabban, Scannell, Williams, Clyne, AWB etc. come through in quite a short time period? Only one of them made a real impact at our club.

Even on the assumption we stay up, this season has very much been a write off for me. We're not looking to do anything in the cups and aren't competing for anything beyond 17th and above in the league. It really is such a shame where your season ticket feels like more of a burden than something to cherish.

I am hoping the plan is to get a new manager and some players lined up this summer, for the next season, but I'm not holding out too much expectation there nor am I for the remainder of this season. TBH getting past Everton in the cup would be the only source of optimism for me.

Football has had many changes over the past 25 years.
Biggest one must have been the buy out of the sport by the super rich which has brought unimaginable wealth for those at the top of the sport and created an illusionary playground for the super rich driven by ego, tv exposure and publicity.
Sadly, the game has dragged its heels (especially under Seb Blatter who just saw money) and it has gone down a road of regulation and accuracy that has taken the sheer fun, excitement and emotion out of the game.
Manty ideas have been raised as ways of improving the fan experience. Bigger goals, less players on the field, different offside rules favouring the attacker etc etc.
None of them have been introduced. The only major change has been VAR which has really taken so much out of the game, the big one being spontaneous decisions. If we are to continue with it, it really needs the computer world to devise a system that gives instantaneous results. Totally achievable. Just like goal line technology.
Even on here I have recently noted a ground swell of season ticket holders questioning their presence at games, and I totally sympathise. It is becoming plain boring. Not just at Palace but at most premier games.
Something needs to be changed to re ignite what football is....excitement.
Slipping down a division to find it is surely counter productive, but quite probably real.
So come on football. Wake up to this and react.

Even 'Yours Truly' an ardent supporter since the 60s, is thinking of NOT attending the Sheff Utd match and should I gallivant down this path this will shock all and sundry who know my fervent allegiance to the club.

A 4 hour round trip to witness dour uninspiring football, but certainly a cure for insomnia !
Alas It has all gone stale, moribund, lacking in vim and vigour and season ticket holders have not had value for money in recent campaigns in terms of performances and results.

In all honesty I have had enough of leaving the ground in a hissy fit, 'Looking forward' to the long journey back to the south coast.
