Simon Jordan has denied approaching former Arsenal defender Tony Adams for the Palace manager's job.
Newspaper reports at the weekend suggested Adams was being lined up to replace the sacked Trevor Francis.
Adams is currently coaching at Weymouth on a voluntary basis and is eager to get into management.
But Jordan told BBC Sport: "There is absolutely no truth in that whatsoever. I have a process in mind but it is not one I am prepared to share.
"We know who we want to talk to and when we want to appoint."
Bryan Robson has also been linked with the vacant position at Selhurst.
