Bryan Robson said he is not interested in the vacant Crystal Palace manager's job.
The former Middlesbrough boss has been linked with taking over the reigns at Selhurst Park but revealed he wants to manage a top-flight club either here or abroad.
He said: "I know I was linked with the manager's job at Palace but I have heard nothing from them. There has been no contact.
"This summer I want to get back into the game and I have a few things in the pipeline at home and abroad.
"It's just a matter of talking to people and seeing which job suits me before making my decision.
"For me to go back into management the club would have to be in the higher leagues rather than the lower leagues.
"Over the past six months I have been looking to get back into football, but there haven't been any job opportunities which have suited me."
