Simon Jordan has so far injected £8 million into the club this season, to keep it afloat.
Jordan has been trying to cut costs recently after the collapse of ITV digital, and a number of staff members have been released in order to do this.
He said: "The cash-call on Simon Jordan this season has risen to £8million and that is a ludicrous contribution.
"Our attendances are down, our retail sales are down and our sponsorship is down so I have to make decisions that are unpopular but for the good of the club.
"When the sun was shining people were appointed, but when the climate is bleak the reverse has to apply."
