Evening all, At 7pm on Wednesday July 14th, History Indoors will be hosting a talk about the history of the rivalry between Palace and Brighton via Zoom. As we’re a history organisation, the talk will take a specifically historical angle, using newspaper clippings and memorabilia to explore the development of the rivalry. The talk is aimed at people of all ages, with younger fans of the two clubs being able to learn about the rivalry’s origins, while older fans can take a trip down memory lane. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, where you can ask questions and share your own personal recollections of past Palace/Brighton encounters. This talk may be the perfect antidote to overcome the post-Euros blues and build anticipation for the forthcoming season! You can sign up for free below via Eventbrite: Details of the talk can also be found here: Edited by HistoryIndoors (09 Jun 2021 8.04pm)

I thought it was very good and a fair assessment of how we got to where we are today. Definitely worth a listen. A good point he makes is that Norwich and Ipswich are about the same distance apart as us and the weed and yet no-one questions the East Anglia derby as being valid. It focuses on the rivalry and leaves out talking about either club's knuckle draggers.
