Hi! We are two business administration students who are currently writing our degree project. As our topic of choice, we opted to study multi-club ownership within professional football clubs as we’ve personally seen an influx of this structure. Consequently, we’re gathering input from football fans to take note of their views and to be aided in locating these multi-club connections. Please take two minutes two answer our short survey, we will later publish our findings within this thread and on our Instagram page! Survey link:

Those links aren't going to work as they are. I think you may have an icon or an emoji or something that won't work with this text code.

Done it although I think you could have included more questions to explore why people are concerned. My concerns over multiple club ownership is around money laundering, dodgy transfers and propping up clubs that are going bust. If you own a PL club it must be very tempting to subside a club you own in another country that does not have the same revenue streams. You can do that by signing a player from that club at an inflated price or some sort of bogus co-operation scheme between the 2 clubs, then again there is simple fraud. Ask the Charlton fans how they felt about having a Belgium owner who kept moving managers and players around his multiple clubs like it was a monopoly game.

Thank you for your input, most seem to voice their perceived pros/cons in the third-to-last question. These concerns that you've voiced have been recorded, but as they won't be empirically tested we're not looking for the stand-out opinions. We merely want to see how fans perceive the concept, how they see its future panning out and if they know their own club's official direct affiliations with other clubs through sharing the same owner.

Out of the 16 Palace fans who've participated, 12 suggested that the owners did not practice multi-club ownership whereas 4 answered: "don't know". This is potentially quite alarming from a transparency perspective as David Blitzer holds significant stakes in both Spanish side AD Alcorcón and Belgian side Waasland-Beveren. Does this change your opinion on the concept or do they remain the same? AD Alcorcón link: Waasland-Beveren link:

I'll be annoyed if they have any good players but noting his ownership style, I doubt it.

I don't think it matters much for now at least, as he owns stakes in them (and us) rather than being the owner of any of them and so isn't in a position of control as the Watford owners are. Plus (more to the point) there hasn't been any of the facets of multi-club ownership. The three teams aren't all staffed by a rotating cast of the same pool of players, and there appears no blurring of any lines between any of those clubs at any level, which is what I would be most concerned about.
