At around 88 mins corner, Mitchell taking no crap from Welbeck, good to see

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Shame he didn’t notice Veltman in the left back position at 55 minutes.

that was Andros's fault for ball watching.

Mitchell makes a tackle and the ball squirms away to an unmarked Veltman who scores. As a wing back surely Andros should have been covering.
If you look where he is when the ball gets to Veltman he is standing still and just ball watching

Agreed. Mitchell made the first tackle that the ball squirmed out from, so he can't really be blamed

... what

I thought Mitchell had a pretty good game last night.

Townsend should've been marking him and was caught ball watching. As Mitchell tried to get over to Veltman, Cahill ran into him and bundled him over.

Mitchell had a solid game.

Absolutely right.
Veltman ran off the back of Townsend into acres of space.
But credit to Townsend for setting up the winner for Benteke.

Who would have thought that playing a left footed player on the left might actually be able to deliver a telling cross.

We'll give Townsend a free pass on this one shall we on account of the non-stop running up and down WITHOUT the ball all night and that cross at the end yeah? Christ. Some 'fans'.

I'll ridicule Roy and the tactics til the cows come home but every player put a shift in last night.

Given Mitchell's age and the fact that he has been playing in an ever changing defence, which at times has creaked loudly - I reckon he has done very well.
As for last night - that was on Andros - but given they should have had a hatful it could have been down to anyone on the night!

Though they may have earned it through pressure alone, I thought Brightons goa was very lucky, and especially cruel to Mitchell, who reacted to a freak rebound from what was supposed to have been a shot, and made a great challenge only to see the ball go to Veltman.

Still, the goal didn't seem to dfo much for Veltmans sense of proportion or reality:

"It is unbelievable. They are getting away with it," said Veltman. "It feels like a robbery of our points. The chances we didn't finish and they had half a chance and Benteke scored."

Oh stop crying you t***.

Anyway, yes it was good to see Mitchell giving Welbeck a bit back. He seems to have the bit between his teeth now.

Andros has admitted as much in his post-match interview.
