Lightweight and not suitable for this league.
Big wage off the payroll.

Was never going to fit in not being able to play defensive midfield.

If we can release him why are Wickham etc still on the payroll ?

I imagine we'll get a few say he wasn't given a chance, but I can't think of one game where he showed the potential to live up to the hype. The odd appearance off the bench against a tired opposition but never anything from the start.

The hype was a bit strange too. Without putting ourselves down too much, a player 'that' good shouldn't be signing for Palace on a free.

Interested to see what he does next. I expect he'll forge out a respectable Bundesliga career.

I agree Belfast .. far worse players still on the books.
Time to make some big decisions about some of the squad to free up Money for rebuilding next year.
Hennessy
Wickham
Sakho
Kelly
Dann
Both the Macs...
Plus a few others maybe...

Good question...

Meyer will get picked up by a decent mid to low league Bundesliga team, where he will do well.

Who would even take the risk with Wickham? He would be mad to leave without seeing his contact out fully

Be interesting to see what happens with this young man's career now... Was it that he wasn't a Roy player or is there something underlying regarding his personality, attitude etc...

However it turns out I thank him for his service and wish him the best as it should be for every player moving on.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Exactly where he played in his final season with Schalke by all accounts after being identified as "too slow" to play in a more advanced position.

Meyer has left by mutual consent. The others can simply do an Ozil if they don't want to go.

Do believe that this signing along with others must post the question about Freedmans ability.
Roy always diverts questions about transfers to Dougie but you have wonder whether Roy has any say in transfers at all.
We have too many poor signings that have outweighed the good ones.... and we always seem to be so slow off the mark in signings or the selling of players.
I don’t understand the technicalities of player sales but why are we always so slow in getting players in/out.?
Clearly we have a big rebuilding operation required in the summer but are we going to leave it until the end of August.?
