Zaha's agent should really come up with more credible stories

It's the question that comes up every transfer window. But this time he is in form, he is now 28 so he is at the peak of his value and we have a replacement in Eze already in the club. I do wonder if it is time we let him go and could spend some to pay the 8 mill Olise release fee. Risky, but we either have to cash in sometime or accept we lose him for nothing one day.

I agree. End of the season is last chance saloon for him. He has performed well so far so may get another chance.

As you say we either make him honour the length of contract and let him go for nothing or get what we can now. He’s clearly frustrated at palace although seems to have manifested itself into positive performances and goals. It’s tough times ahead with the post Wilf era but I think he deserves it. Just hope if he goes it’s a decent club.

Sadly this does have more than a hint of truth in it and we would miss him big time. Eze is not quite ready to step into his shoes and Andros sadly is a busted flush currently. There are a couple of youngsters coming through but they will not be ready to fill his boots so IF he goes we would have to change our style and that would cause problems too and all for £28m (less moanus share). Happy new year ??

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

A hint of truth???!!! The mail and the sun. Where have you been for the last 5 years? He will probably leave but I would very much doubt it will be to a club outside London and I doubt it will be in a January window.

Not sure if Milan have 2 Euros to rub together, let alone the 70 to 80 million we would want...

Wilf is worth that much and you only have to look at the dross that has been bought for 70 and 80 million.

70 million for Pepe this guy is pony and was Chilworth worth 80 million that Chelsea paid for him?

For someone who has felt the brunt of racist abuse why would he want to play in Italy??
Would be the worse move he could make. The only credible move in my view is Arsenal, although why he would want to play for that shower is beyond me.

Arsenal are the only real prospect for him, they won’t be this s*** forever. What screwed the move up was they weren’t prepared to pay the 70 million for him and went for 70 million Pepe instead. Who on earth sanctioned that at Arsenal need shooting.

If Wilf does join them Arsenal will need to sell first, but it’s not easy selling dog s***!

This is a nonsense story.

AC Milan are not rich at all. By the time Silvio Berlusconi sold them they were struggling to compete with any of the European big clubs, and since then they've had the kind of truly bizarre boardroom episode I thought was reserved for turn of the century cpfc.

From what I can gather...

1. Rich Chinese businessman agrees to buy club.
2. Chinese government decides Chinese money can no longer leave China.
3. Rich businessman decides to proceed with purchase anyway, borrowing money from American vulture capitalist group on terms that make Goldbergs purchase from Noades look shrewd.
4. If Milan make the latter stages of the champions league every year for a decade then Chinese businessman might just be able to repay the loan.
5. Rich businessman gambles relatively big money on average players. Milan don't make the champions league. Owner forfeits repayments.
6. American vultures seize club.
7. Current coach exceeds all expectations by producing a good side. Club still very much skint, with owners who are professional asset strippers. Transfer business limited to free transfers, loans and young prospects.

I really can't see that buying Zaha for £50m - £70m fits in with this.
