It's been discussed somewhere before (sorry can't find the thread to bump it up), but with January on the horizon I wonder if either of these are still accurate: I know that Batshuayi is on loan, but is it an obligation that we buy him in Summer 2021 or an option? There was talk of an optional extra year for Guaita, but are we in that extra year now? The club announced new deals for Jeffrey Schlupp, James McArthur, Martin Kelly and Stephen Henderson in August 2020, but did not confirm the terms. Is it correct that all four are free agents after this season, bringing the total number potentially up to 20(!)? Offers for new deals have apparently been made to some of the players, but who exactly varies from report to report. Anything concrete? Finally of course, Roys deal apparently ends in the summer of 2021. Has anyone seen any indication of talks about an extension yet? I thought Parish had pinned Roy down by this time last season, but might be wrong.

Re Batshuayi, although I can't quote chapter and verse, I am 90% certain that we have an OPTION to buy but that the price might be a fixed one (£20m?) I don't think Roy was pinned down until the New Year just before lockdown. There was chat around Christmas time I think. with Roy confirming that there had been talks but he wanted to concentrate on the job in hand for the moment. No idea about current talks re anyone.

Looking at the links again, it surely can't be correct that we have signed Ferguson only up to this coming summer?

This sort of information used to be forthcoming from clubs but contracts now seem to be cloaked in secrecy and trying to find out info is difficult to say the least, (probably because of the obscene amounts of money involved). I would doubt anyone on this discussion board will know the answers to your questions unless they are seriously connected to the club. If anyone does though I’m sure we would all be interested to hear.

That should give him time to fully bond with CW.

The club announced new deals for Jeffrey Schlupp, James McArthur, Martin Kelly and Stephen Henderson in August 2020, but did not confirm the terms. Jeff, Kelly and Jimmy Mac already had contracts until 2021 so think these are 1 year extensions until summer 2022 (potentially Jeff's could be longer). Not sure re Guaita - think it's just a straight 3 year deal so out of contract next summer. Ferguson definitely 3 years from last summer so has 2.5 more years. Summer 2021 is a big year for Palace. At a minimum i can see 3 centre backs leaving (Sako, Cahill and Dann) due to age and/or wages so that is clearly a position of concern. Centre forward too as surely Tekkers will go, Wickham clearly should have gone last summer and Bats won't be purchased. That leaves Ayew and potentially Zaha.

2 big ifs there - a regular starter and scores at a reasonable rate. His injury record is poor over the last few years, so who knows how long he will stay fit. It has been nice to see him scoring of late, and when fit he is definitely our best striker, but 3 goals in as many games in nothing to get too excited about - yet. Given his age, his high wages (despite a reduction since last summer), his bargaining position when he becomes a bosman next year and the 2 ifs mentioned above i'll be surprised to see him at the club next summer

There was talk he'd been offered a new deal even before his mini revival. There are two or three I can't see signing new deals, especially Meyer and possibly PvA if he still has an offer from the Netherlands (he has stated he wanted to move when PSV came in but the club said no). Unless Sakho pushes his way back into the team then surely he goes either through his choice or ours. Short-term, I wonder if Bats will ask to terminate his loan deal in January as with the Euros coming up and him getting no game time he must be getting very frustrated. It doesn't seem to have worked out this time around.
