We need to be solid and disciplined. Cannot be as exposed out wide as we were against Wolves as Leeds are rapid on the wings.

I have no faith that those two forwards will score , I hope I am proved wrong

I should add that neither help out in defence either

Obviously this is what I'd like to see, rather than what I think Roy will do (and depending on fitness levels).

VG

Clyne Tomkins Kouyate PvA

Jairo McArthur

Townsend Eze Schlupp

Wilf

Based on the Leicester game it seems clear the way to beat Leeds is quick counter attacks. Jairo-Eze-Wilf through the middle could help us spring quickly.

Nevertheless, I expect us to line-up with this, unless Cahill or Tomkins are fit and ready. He might possibly start Ayew over Bats, but neither have started the season that well, so it's a close call. McArthur will come in for Luka I expect:

VG

Clyne Kouyate Dann PvA

Townsend Jairo McArthur Schlupp

Bats Wilf

Nothing wrong with that but you can bet your life we haven’t practiced it and it would also impact Roy’s defensive shape. So all in all we won’t see anything like it until another manager arrives.

No Ward, Mitchell or Tomkins.

So:

Clyne, Kouyate, Cahill, PVA
Townsend, McCarthur, Riedewald, Schlupp
Bats, Zaha

I personally would love to see Eze in for Schlupp, or even Townsend, but I can't see it happening.

For me:

Guaita
Clyne Cahill Tomkins (or whoever available) Schlupp

MacArthy Macarthur

Eze

Townsend Ayew Zaha

Schlupp is a better lb defensively and I don't see Eze in the side but . .

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Mindset will determine whether we have any hope of winning this match.

Formation is *somewhat* secondary since, however you set up, it's about how you put that setup to work. 442 can become 440 if the forwards are tame in defence and isolated in attack.

451 can be bold if it means the midfield breaks boldly.

So I just hope Roy can rouse them more than anything else.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

If up to me:

Guaita

Clyne Cahill Kouyate Schlupp

Townsend McArthur Eze Zaha

Ayew Batshuayi

I know its old school, but 442 with two winders and two strikers worked in 1991....

What I think Roy will actually do:

Guaita

Clyne Cahill Kouyate PVA

Townsend McArthur Jairo Schlupp

Zaha Batshuayi
