Wolves destroyed us down the flanks and even Brighton overran us with a similar formation. Newcastle have moved to this formation too and look competitive.

Sakho could be the ball player from the back, use Townsend and Jeff/PVA as wingbacks.

2 defensive midfielders leaves 3 attacking players.

Could have Eze or even Wilf behind 2 strikers e.g Ayew and Bats or have Wilf as one of these two.

442 or 443 at home in particular is not working and unlike when de Boer was in charge we have a better squad now to accommodate this formation

Forget any radical changes in formation or personnel until Roy has gone. It will be 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 depending who we play.

Hodgson is not like Mark Warburton who is happy to change formations during a game.

In respect of Bielsa, he is content to change formations in a match depending on the makeup of the opposition attack. He has favoured a spare man at the back IE a back three against two strikers, a back four against one striker, with the full-backs pushing high up into midfield, effectively leaving 2 v 1 at the back.

So, not unlike ManU last night then.

Works for me.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
