Difficult to say now, it depends if Michy is signed in time and in what kind of shape he is, it depends if Eze has recovered or not, it depends if other injured players can recover.
I'd love to beat them this season, but I think we will have to be patient until we recover all the injured players and include the new arrivals.
At the moment not knowing all of the above, I'd say 1-1.

Impossible to predict but we are usually slow starters.

We must pick up points against the bottom half clubs this season because the league has never looked stronger.
We will likely be starting with last seasons injury hit line up and that is not a cause for optimism.

It'll be interesting to see what Roy does. He may take into account our injury list and try and kill the game and go for a draw or a 1-0 win, especially if Bats doesn't sign in time to play. We looked stretched in preseason when teams had a go at us and we looked less compact, which Roy and Ray may look to address. Good news that Eze is back in training, but I'd be surprised if he starts. Riedewald needs to take his preseason form into this game and show he can cope with the pace and high-press of teams like the Scummers (I grew up in Portsmouth!)

I'm going to go for 1-1 with Ings and a rejuvenated Zaha to score.

1-2

They get 2 up and control the game, we pull one back and finish with a flourish.

2-2 draw has to be a better performance than the dross watched in January, Southampton can be a good side and as of last season were better away from home.

It's predominantly about controlling Ings. He was involved in 60% of their goals last year

If he suffers injuries like he did at Liverpool, Saints will be in trouble

Depends on how the ref plays and what he lets wp get away with. Not just Wilf but Eze too for them to kick. 1-1 or 2-1 if the ref clamps down early.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

We won't score more than one and I don't think they are that good. 1 all draw.
