He did play in all 46 league games for QPR last season, and 42 the season before, which suggests he has not previously struggled with injuries. Given we have just paid almost 20m for him this could all just be precautionary. Why risk him for an England U21 game? It would be bloody typical though if we finally make an exciting signing only to see him ruled out before he even kicks a ball in the PL.

Matt Clarke IMO one of the best goalkeepers this club has had. Played about a dozen games, picked up an injury, never played again, gutted.
