Watching the Eze interview, he mentioned the style of play and the position he would play as a big deal for him and also he talks about how not being restricted helped him in the past. [Tweet Link]
Does this mean there is going to be some change to our system next year, as I can't see our current tactics reflecting anything he's said. I can only see us playing 4-2-3-1 to marry up with what he was saying.

Im just hoping we score more goals than we normally let in. Cant remember the last season we finished with a + goal diff?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I think Hodgson will adapt the system to the best XI he thinks he has and that may well be 4-2-3-1 with Benteke or A N other as CF with Fraser, Eze and Wilf/Ayew behind and 2 CDMs

Onwards n Upwards(hopefully) Since we have been in the PL (From 2013-14) the highest a team has finished on a negative GD has been 7th. From the 2013-14 season 7th,8th,9th and 10th have been the highest places teams have finished on a negative GD.

That's what I was thinking, but given how confident Eze seemed to be in terms of what he was 'sold' as our playing style and where he would fit in, you would have to assume it would be 2 holding midfielders, 2 wide men, him allowed to roam in the middle and a forward, which is not very Roy.

Would be nice to imagine that Roy has finally worked out his system does not work from either an entertainment or goal scoring point of view. If we keep playing the same system as last few seasons we are doomed.

Im guessing it will be 4-5-1, exactly as it currently is, however we should hope that 3 of the players within the 5 have more licence to attack than they previously had. I hope the ultimate aim of our purchases will be to change to 2 holding midfielders rather than 3 regardless of who we are playing.
