Soon as I read 'International footprint' & 'Global Footprint' I yawned. It's probably in real terms financially a few million quid & is hardly going to inspire people to rush over to the sponsors website (there I've forgotten their name already) why not invite local businesses to apply for a sponsorship deal with say the winner on the front of the shirt, runner up on the back & maybe third place on the sleeve.

Supporting local businesses would be wonderful, I'm sure we'd all prefer that all else equal, but there's good reason why a few million quid matters. The sponsorship deal for last year probably paid Ayew's transfer fee, maybe McCarthy's too. Worth mentioning that a £300 loss on each season ticket (across last season and part of this coming season) is a £5.4m hole in the finances. If fans don't go back this season, that becomes a £15m hole. Fans are already being asked to partly fund the academy off the back of that hole.

Tacky gold logo. At least wuth the previous sponsor it could be incorporated into the shirts colour scheme. Is there any kind of deal that gambling sites strike with clubs? For example, a percentage of bets placed on their team?

Gambling can ruin lives yet clubs like ours are happy to take what I think is dirty money.
