Sorry if this has been asked before, not meaning to be a pain, but my wee lad has reached the age where hes really started to gain an interest in trying to get some autographs of the players.
I have no experience of this so could do with some advice. If I take him to the training ground, will they stop after training to sign at the gate for example - does anyone do that?

Hes small so don't want him crushed in a crowd if everyone is trying on a matchday.

Appreciate any tips or advice thank you!

There really is no crush on a matchday, and there is a special area set aside for the purpose, which is barriered and stewarded. It's by the Fan Zone exit, and if you are there for an hour between 12 and 1 you should get plenty of autographs - every player that passes through signs for everyone who asks them

Andrew, my son wanted some autographs so we headed to the ground early for the Sheffield United game. We got there around 12:20 which was just about right.

They cordon a small section off by the exit to the fan zone (right next to Ticket Collection) for when the players park up and it’s not overly crowded.

I was a little disappointed as we didn’t meet as many of the players as I expected. My son managed to get autographs and a picture with Hennessey, Milivojevic, Cahill and Mark Bright. Kouyate gave an autograph, but we didn’t ask for a picture as he was trying to rush away. Van Aanholt just put his hands up and walked straight through. We were there about an hour and didn’t see anyone else.

I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Taken my little ones to the main gate on Copers Cope Rd a couple of times in the last few years and they were dead happy. Most players waved hello or had a quick chat and a selfie. Jimmy Mac, Luka and Jules (at the time) were the most friendly to the kids. Around 9.00 am you catch them arriving.
