LOL, I read PSG at first and was wondering why they are so poor in their bid )) I think a 10 million bid was rejected in the summer, he's not gonna go for 4 million. Roma was thinking about paying 25 million for him: [Link] [Link] Man United considered him along with AWB: [Link] Juventus is keeping tabs: [Link] There's no way he leaves for less than 10 million next summer, even if he draws closer to contract end.

I think a 10 million bid was rejected in the summer, he's not gonna go for 4 million.

Difficult to know whether this is Palace saying no way, we need him here, or come back with a much better offer? Or whether it’s just a rumour

If you were PVA's agent and you wanted your client to end his career on the highest-possible wage, it wouldn't be the dumbest move (to engineer a lowball bid from a biggish club). It's a bid that reminds the club that PVA isn't that far from the end of his contract. And that replacement cost will be very high. If you were PVA's agent and you wanted your client to end his career on the highest-possible wage, it wouldn't be the dumbest move (to engineer a lowball bid from a biggish club).

It's a bid that reminds the club that PVA isn't that far from the end of his contract. And that replacement cost will be very high.

Maybe if someone offered north of €10m, but anything less would be peanuts. We have just effectively paid near £4 million to borrow a player for 6 months.
