Hi,

I will be riding in the FULL Tour de France route in 2020, one day ahead of the pros as part of an official bike team lead by Geoff Thomas.

I will be riding all 19 stages, over 21 days, and cycling a total of 3,470 km (2,156 miles)!

Geoff is a former England & Crystal Palace footballer – as a life-long Crystal Palace fan, it is a genuine privilege and honor to be part of Geoff’s GT15 team - a genuine Crystal Palace legend!

As you will no doubt know, Geoff is a leukaemia survivor and Patron of blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia. He has been 15 years in remission despite being given 3 months to live when he was first diagnosed. I am humbled to be given the opportunity to be part of Geoff’s team and be part of the drive to help eradicate this disease.

The team consists of 21 riders - collectively we are committing to raising £1,000,000 for the charity that helped save Geoff's life. All funds raised from this event will be invested directly into the national Trials Acceleration Programme network, which Cure Leukaemia will begin funding from January 2020 allowing them to open and run clinical trials for pioneering treatments for the disease. Patients from an increased catchment area of over 20 million people will have access, as a result, to potentially life-saving treatments.

Given the magnitude of the challenge, I am personally committing to raise £30,000 for Geoff.

I would be incredibly honored to receive any small contribution from anyone connected with the pride of South London, and it will very much help me get through the hours of pain to train and complete the challenge!

The route of the main tour goes through Treignac sur Vezere on July 9th, so i assume you will go through on July 8th. I will hopefully be at the roadside in my Palace shirt to cheer you on and make a donation.

Hi Dolphin - you are correct - all of it goes to the charity! All the GT15 riders have paid their entry fee, and are covering their bikes and flights. Kalas have donated the kits to the team. We want to raise the £ 1mio for the charity for Geoff!
