After last season's very concerning, unexpected results against our rivals,we need and will get a result this game.
Going for 2-0.

Brighton look better this season but I think their more expansive style will actually help us. Houghton played us (and every other team) the way you need to play us - zero ambition, let us have the ball. Potter's Brighton will leave spaces and are ripe for our counter attacks. 2-0.

Dale Stephens was booked today and misses the match!

In recent away games they have beaten Arsenal and only lost by the odd goal at both A.Villa and Liverpool.Perhaps a draw will be the likely outcome but a Brighton win wouldn't surprise me.

If Roy fires up the team as he should for a derby then we'll win. If he doesn't, and just treats it like another fixture, then we won't as Brighton will be well up for it ...

Can’t stand that cvnt. If I were playing him I’d go flying around n before he could. I’d probably be sent off faster than Souness or Terry Butcher in the old firm derby. Dunk or Duffy too.

I think we owe this lot big time.

I am hoping for an early Christmas present from the lads so 3-1 Palace for me.

As I don't watch Brighton matches on principle I can't say I know much about them, I even refuse to have any of their players in my FPL side.

So on that basis I will predict a draw possibly 1-1

Very hard game to predict because they are a better team than last season. We really missed a trick not going in for Mooy. He is what we lack in midfield, energy, can pass well and doesn't mind a shot either. We will have to shut him down

They are different in terms of their style but they were 2 pts better off at the same stage last season than they are now.

They spent some £60 Mill in pre-season on Webster, Clarke, Trossard and Maupay.Mooy arrived on a season-long loan.

Trossard, Maupay & Mooy look dangerous asa unit. We will need to be alert & hopefully play with some passion, espically going forwards. If we do then 2-1 to us; if we paly like last season its another loss, sadly
