We should be looking to bring some younger players through . Either from within or in the transfer market . We need to strengthen while we are safe and build for future as our current average age is quite high in comparison. As much as it hurts Brighton have a bright young prospect (Connelly) who was introduced yesterday and grab two goals .Our youngsters should be given a chance at the earliest opportunity.

Good point which I also mentioned on the Spuds thread. He has played 16 games and already scored 8 goals with 5 in 5 for the under 23's. What is surprising is surely we have some young player of a similar ilk, over about 2 seasons now ? The Weed are hardly safe so why are we not following suit ? On that point don't see us being safe for a few games. Worry about Citeh as they have fallen to the Wolves today, expect them to be all guns blazing in 2 weeks just like after the Canaries when the Hornets took a backlash. However we have done really well to have a good cushion of points over games.

Problem with that is we have a manager allergic to anyone under 25 Dgmw I love Roy but youth is by far his biggest flaw. He's from the "can't win anything with kids" era. Until we get a more progressive manager in or another injury crisis hits us our academy's gonna go to waste I'm afraid

Now that's nobodys fault, but a fact, as commented on by Richard Shaw in an article recently. Roys brief is to maintain our Premier status, not blood youngsters that aren't good enough.

In my opinion If we have a good tally of points on the board say around the Xmas period we should be targeting the FA Cup? Let's actually try & win some Silverware for a change.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Interesting article here on the number of players from South London ,if we can make a name for ourselves as brining on young players then there is potential gold mine of talent for us. [Link] What's your theory for why we aren't making the most of them then? Edited by Ketteridge (07 Oct 2019 10.15am)

We've been focusing way too much on league positions it's led us to make some really short term, inefficient moves (Benteke). We need to take a step back and focus on how we want to conduct ourselves as a club and trying to bring our youngsters through into the first team should be right at the top of that list imo. Alright, not all of them are gonna make it, fair enough, but I think we can definitely be doing more

How many people said that about Wan-Bissaka before he broke onto the scene. With a lot of these kids, you'll never know until you give em a shot
