Referee: Michael Oliver (34) from Ashington in the North-East. Last season, we saw a lot of him - the home defeats v Liverpool and Wolves, the away defeat at Chelsea, the home wins v Leicester and Fulham, plus the away win at Cardiff. Last Sunday, he was in the middle for Everton v Man City. Assistants: Stuart Burt, Gary Beswick. Fourth official: Peter Bankes. VAR: Paul Tierney. Assistant VAR: Andy Halliday.

Unlike last season, we have so far seemed to be lucky with refs. and Oliver is one of the best, if not the best. At last refs are now generally penalising tackles (often assaults) on Zaha but equally are less tolerant of our captain's misdemeanours ... he is the most likely to be our first red card.
