Just looking at the table and noticing we are the lowest scorers,I know it's only 5 games in but can anyone see us improving our goals tally anytime soon?

Don’t see a change to being the lowest scorers while we continue to play with nine behind the ball regardless of the opposition, while we continue to play across the pitch or backwards allowing the opposition to regroup, and while our coaching appears to be exclusively devoted to defending with no visible regard to working on our forward play.

Unfortunately, we have got ourselves into a whole through bad buying and ended up with a poor, stale squad that is costing us a lot of money, until January, and with ins and outs cant see a goal fest.

Every team plays with 9,10, 11 players behind the ball when they don't have the ball. It is what they call in football, DEFENDING.

They don’t for the whole match home and away including when they fall behind.

To answer the question, no, not with the players we have at present.

This should not be coming as a surprise to anyone

Think leaking goals is far more dangerous then scoring few. Wish it would be different but that is how it is at the moment. Scrounging for points with a blunt attack and few players with attacking threat. Let's hope last Saturday was a one off.

Spot on - no surprise to me at all with the current squad! Why on earth Wickham was handed a new contract and Benteke not moved on I will never ever know. Both have proved they are a million miles away from being Premier league quality.

Should most defiantly have tried to sign Batman, Watkins or Maupay.
The worrying thing is we can only hope to score the odd goal in games and then hope we keep a clean sheet.

Surely we all know Benteke is on huge wages and we literally can’t give him away, unless we want to pay him to play for someone else.

Possibly offering the likes of him and Wickham new contracts is harder to understand but I guess, financially, they see it as worthwhile investment…

I'd be interested to know exactly what it is we're investing in?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I think we’ve paid so much for Wickham's wages and recuperation that we’re just praying that he can prove his fitness enough to be sold for an actual transfer fee.

Possibly similar with Benteke. I think we’re still desperately hoping that he finally goes on a scoring run and he would actually be saleable. Good money after bad it may be but I think transfer fees are so high these days that it’s probably seen as worth the gamble.

I'm just guessing. It's only a rumour that Benteke is being offered a new contract anyway.
