Joel said good bye to the ultras yesterday and was presented with gifts, does anyone know where he's going? I know he's out of contract in the summer but was he not offered a new deal or did he get an offer else where?

He signed a new three year deal last summer?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Surely we would want to keep him? What if AWB gets injurd/suspended/sold? Plus he can play left back. Players like him Scott Dann and Martin Kelly have been excellent when called upon.

Thought he did pretty well on Sunday, very surprised if he isn't here next season.

Madness to lose him, well too good.

We'd be mad not to keep him imo. Not consistent enough to be a starter but a solid & versitile squad player who loves the club. No brainer

If he's still in contract, I'd be surprised to see him leave.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Signed a new contract last summer, he won't be going anywhere. Too good a squad player to let go

He's always struck as as one of the more 'normal' polite and grounded players. Maybe they were just recognising his performances over the years, stepping up to the plate when needed having been replaced by AWB all season.

As for saying goodbye, re-read my first sentence.

Joel Ward is the perfect squad player, does everything without fuss and gives his all. He has most probably been one of the best signings we have made value wise and performance wise.

Not only that but he is a genuine nice bloke, I think him and Jules must be cut from the same cloth...
