All I know is that Carling premier has made a return. At least to tesco shelves. Looking forward to find a pub serving it on draft!

If forced to drink lager, then I agree this is good stuff

Very cheap at Wing Yip.

Fosters.

I used to think John Smiths was OK in comparison, but that's pretty dire now too.

A one and a two...

I had some Estrella in one of my locals recently - cost me £4.40 a pint which is probably cheap compared to prices paid in London.I didn't have any issues with it.

On the subject of Beckenham I have frequented 'Kelsey Kitchen', 'The Chancery' and 'La Rascasse' in recent months. All not too far from the training ground !!!!

Good, cheap, good behavioural beers in cans are:

Stella 4%. Multipacks seem to have stopped. £4 for 4.

Becks Vier 4%. All cans seem to have stopped.

Amstel 4.1% I think. £4 for 4.

A lot of designer price bottled lagers about now. A grade up from the usual Becks etc but they cost you.

Not that keen on Peroni and I find San Miguel somewhat bitter - although it is not a bitter !!!!

In Spain I visit a bar which serves Cruzcampo in iced cold glasses and it is very nice - Only 3 Euros a pint !
