Anyone know anything about how reliable/functional these things are? A work colleague has just moved to the back end of beyond and has absolutely no signal in his house or outside it and was thinking about getting one of these boosters (vodafone). Before spending £60+ he wanted to know do they actually work as the site reviews are a tad inconclusive. Does anyone here install or have a working knowledge of them?

I have a Vodafone sure signal and it works ok May be worth checking out wifi calling, I think most providers offer this now
When they kick out your front door. How you gonna come ? |

Does anyone here install or have a working knowledge of them? i had one spot in my house that the signal stunk. of course, it was my office and i don't have a house phone. so searched and searched for a decent signal booster. finally bought one that was supposed to help - total crap. worthless and spent a good amount on it. i have a colleague that bought one of the really expensive ones and he said it worked. i guess that's the only route. however, my cell these days picks up the wifi for calls if the signal is bad. so if you're in a building that has wifi, it would be much more cost effective to get a phone with that functionality and use that than a rubbish signal booster.

Call Vodafone and tell them you can't pick up a signal. They should offer you one for free?! I know EE do.
