Anyone else having issues with the site when using ie10?

I can see the board and subject level..but as soon as I click on a subject the page loading hangs and then kicks me out.

Having to resort to using the phone at the mo.

i hate smart ar$e replies normally but this has a semblance of truth in it.

Try not using IE10 , it'll solve a lot more than Holmesdale.net issues

I've never had much luck using HOL on IE. It works fine in Safari (home) and Chrome (work).

I think I read somewhere that IE works in a different way to all of the other browsers. Web developers have to double their work (someone correct me if I'm wrong) to make a site that works with IE and with all the others, so there's less and less effort made in creating a site that works properly in IE. That was what I heard around the time of IE8/IE9 but I guess it's possible things have changed since then. Anyway, long and short of it was, when I heard that I ditched IE8 and went over to Chrome.

I am using Firefox and it does the same with me. Are you on Windows 10? I think (though not 100% certain) that it started doing it around the last update.

Hi,

I've just tested it in IE10 on Windows 7 and haven't had any issues.

However I would highly recommend you to run Google Chrome or Firefox instead as they are so much faster and more up to date browsers than IE10.

I've been using that combination for a couple of years and have never had a problem

There has been a further W10 update a few days ago, and it hasn`t happened to me since.

Maybe you could ask work to upgrade to IE11 which is the latest version.
