I loved Star Wars as a kid. And even though I didn't even know what he looked like, Kenny Baker somehow felt like a part of my childhood. Many years later, I began working in Preston which is near where Kenny Baker lived. Still not knowing what he looked like, I would sometimes remind myself to look out for anyone around town under four feet tall who might have matched his description. I don't think I ever saw him though, and it seems there won't be any more need to keep looking. A sad day for movie buffs and sci-fi nerds everywhere.

I loved Star Wars as a kid. And even though I didn't even know what he looked like, Kenny Baker somehow felt like a part of my childhood.

Many years later, I began working in Preston which is near where Kenny Baker lived. Still not knowing what he looked like, I would sometimes remind myself to look out for anyone around town under four feet tall who might have matched his description. I don't think I ever saw him though, and it seems there won't be any more need to keep looking.
