So Wales voted to Brexit Wales has had £4bn in structural funding from the EU since 2000. It is THE area of the UK that the EU has sponsored most. WTF! Edited by Mapletree (27 Jun 2016 9.19am)

Sadly, I am beginning to see why some English people think the Welsh stupid. WTF! Not just the Welsh Cornish too I am sure that is mirrored across many regions across the country The counter argument of cours being that they can just get the money directly from Westminster

I don't think Westminster is likely to be so generous.

However as a proportion of districts, the results mirror England. As a % of voters more people in England voted for Brexit than in Wales Attachment: image.png (551.30Kb)

Definitely a case of biting the hand that feeds them. There is no way a proper right-wing administration in London will give two hoots about Wales or Cornwall's loss of income and make up the shortfall especially as there will be less funds to go around anyway once we leave with the inevitable economic downturn to come. U.K. Credit rating outlook cut to negative already. The ball is rolling. Edited by Kermit8 (25 Jun 2016 7.39am)

We could always give Wales and Cornwall the money we save when Scotland vote to leave us...They cost us shed loads of money at the moment. I say let the poison dwarf have her referendum for Scotland to leave I will even tick the exit box myself if she wants..
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I would argue that this shows the depth of anger at the EU, and dare I say it immigration, in the poorest parts of the country and would also question what the EU money is spent on in these parts of the country. Vanity projects or actual infrastructure that benefits the locals?

That's got to be a good thing for the locals so they can escape, may not be so good for the rest of us.

Either people in Wales and Cornwall didn't realise how well they did out of the EU (and the Remain group failed in informing them) or they knew this and voted Out anyway. Has anyone asked them?

I was surprised with the level of Brexit votes, particularly in N E Wales where I'm from. We had to put up with thousands of scousers for years so a few Poles shouldn't bother them Airbus are a major employer and the wings for their fleet are made in Broughton. No idea what will happen now.

Please stop making out that people are stupid because they don't agree with you.
