Hi All! Appreciate this is a slightly unusual post, but I'm part of a research team at UCL and we're looking for people to take part in our current study. It's one of the most detailed studies of memory ever conducted and will help us learn more about memory and the brain. Hopefully, having many positive knock on effects in the future for treating memory loss (for example in diseases like Alzheimer’s and Dementia) Details Our exciting study – MEMO – is looking at differences in memory and imagination across hundreds of different people. We’re really trying to understand how memories are formed, and why people are good at some things but not at others. We really want to represent all of London, so we're looking for people that don't normally take part in these kind of things! We’re based in central London, near Holborn station, and we can offer flexible times to suit your schedule. In return, we’ll create a personalised profile for you containing pictures of your brain and detailing your performance on some of the tasks. You’ll also be reimbursed £150 to cover your expenses on completion of the study. The study involves no medication or lifestyle changes. Search for UCL MEMO to find out more and to sign up, or go direct to our website: Any questions not answered on the website feel free to message me! *Posted with permission of Webmaster Peter Guntrip*

I was all up for it until I saw the picture of that MRI scanner - just looking at it made me feel slightly claustrophobic! Hope you find the volunteers.

I would have been up for that but I'm 62 with Parkinsons and a metal knee. A lot of my brain cells have fcuked off for good anyway. I expect the Polish will do the test for a £5 note. Edited by Hoof Hearted (16 Jun 2016 11.49am)

I've had loads of MRI scans in the last few years. It's a bit scary at first, but you get used to it. I would liken it to being in a dark room with a crap tone deaf amateur heavy metal band tuning up with their Marshall Amps at full volume.
