It's never as bad as you think with dentistry. Relax, think positive thoughts.

I doubt he will get Game of Thrones on you.

Whatever you do don't suck anything for a few hours after the surgery.

You can suck the clot out of the wound and then get left with a gapping hole where the new gum would heal.

You will be anesthetized fully or locally no doubt so the soreness afterward will probably be the worst thing.

Chill. It will all be done soon.

Get ready to chew on some cotton wool, and to dribble.

True, but you can also then spit blood in the street like you're a bad ass street fighter. Or if your more like me, puke blood in to a bin, like a rancid tramp

I've had a couple of teeth removed, and the weird thing is that they never hurt as much as tooth ache. That said, I only ever visit the dentists when I need a tooth removed.

So far its not worked out too bad, I'm 44, and only have lost two teeth, and the last time I was a regular at the dentists, was over 15 years ago, as a student (it was free).

About three pound a year spent on dentists.

I went for the dripping down my face and covering an entire white shirt in blood look. The numbness meant I was none the wiser that it was happening until I looked down.

The next people into the waiting room seemed slightly perturbed.
