Hi everyone, I am sorry to be coming on here like this but I must in my heart of hearts do as much as I can possibly do for a charity local to me that has just gone over and above anything I could have imagined. On Sunday I held my 11 day old nephew in my arms as he passed away from an incurable chromosomal disorder called Trisomy 13 (Patau's Syndrome) We were introduced to a charity called the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice who took control and helped my family through one of the toughest times ever. They were absolutely marvellous and a tower of strength, If you could please consider reading up on The Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and consider donating to it via my Just-giving site then I would be eternally grateful, even if it is just £1. Thank you for reading this... Just-giving link
Remembering staffie for ever!, a gentleman and true great. unfortunately the HOL will never be the same without him. |

Madpalacefan My heart goes out to you in your loss. I also lost my eldest son at 11 days old so I have a lot of empathy with you. You never forget but it does get slighty easier over the years. I have been blessed with another son so that helps. I found talking it through with family and friends, as well as the Samaritans (who were brilliant)was a great help. Because of their support I eventually joined them. My deepest condolences and heartfelt thoughts to you and yours.
Invited to SP after Xmas 1969 by new stepfather and his best mate. Freezing cold and lost 5-1. Been a fan ever since!!!! |

Thank you so much for all your kind words which will be echoed to my extended family. And also to everyone who has donated, I just knew the HOL Palace family would dig deep together. Palace fans are truly a difference apart from other fans. How I love been Palace... Thanks again everyone...

Heart goes out to you mate and his parents and family. I can't pretend to know how it must feel but my son was born 4 months premature so I have an understanding of that absolute mixture of emotions that you go through, the hopes and the rock bottom from being told one minute he's ok then the next day he won't survive... A total emotional rollercoaster. I will make a donation to the charity. I know how important these charitys are and the support they give is invaluable.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Madpalacefan: Absolutely heartbreaking news. Sincerest condolences to the family. Whilst I'm about to donate through link provided, what chance is there of getting word out to the Board/ Club & Fans to arrange a collection at FA Cup Final ? Surely the charity's link could be put into the Match Day programme?
