Our whole town is decked out. Morris Dancers everywhere, battle re-enactments, living history, etc.

All welcome.

As my dad's name was George and he was a horrible dad to me and my siblings and my mum a bit of a dragon... I've always viewed the day as one I would like to forget quite frankly.

Crowhurst in Surrey is always awash with flags to celebrate St George's Day.

It never ceases to amaze me that in this country we are more than happy to celebrate St Paddy's day or any other day for that matter, but never St George's day. This is of course, years of leftist rule, which has taught us to celebrate any other countries' national day, but loathe anything that's English. The left have a very special sort of contempt for anything English, and make absolutely no secret of it either. Of course it's only the Liberal elite who loathe England, but they of course, pretty much run the country.

There are St George's celebrations all over organised by loads of different folk. Put your coat on, get out of that hubris bubble and go and find something. And do try to enjoy it.

I'm off to watch some burning witches in a mo'.

You're not fooling me Michael... this new light hearted Kermit is unashamedly trying to create goodwill to garner votes for "Hol Funniest Poster".

Lot of competition this year mate....

Pikey is mobilised, Part Time James is going at it like AP McCoy and Superfly is putting in a shift.

Two old stagers like you and me need to work harder to get top 3 this year.

We should have a bank holiday for it though don't you think?

Didn't notice this year. Sometimes do, sometimes don't. Shame really.

There's a pub near Tonbridge called The George and Dragon with black sorry chalkboard outside with "The landlords not called George but the wife is a dragon" written on it! I'll be out in a bit for pre-semi-final day ales and wishing all a happy St. Georges Day. Cheers. Ollie's Dad,Ash.
