Some game shaping up between us and S.Africa. We've just set the new record for most runs in the first two overs, 44, in response to a target of 229.

Don't mention the C word but South Africa just failed to defend the highest ever total at a T20 world cup! Chasing in T20 is so crucial nowadays and that was an amazing one from England.

Absolutely brilliant batting especially by Roy and Root interesting to know what odds were on offer for an England win after SA posted 229.

Our bowler's got their act together for the final 10 overs and gave us a good total to chase down (before that though NZ were on target for about 190). Jason Roy's knock was superb, him Hales, Root and Buttler need to reproduce this effort again on Sunday and hopefully the skipper can add a few runs, but he needs to go in after Jos Buttler I reckon. Looking forward to today's bash by Gayle! Edited by Hoof Hearted (31 Mar 2016 11.03am)

No one wins the T20 World Cup without losing a game, so NZ were f***ed after the group statistically. Jordan, Stokes and Ali gave us that easy target with those last 10 overs. Roy made it look even easier after his first 6 balls faced. We've lost to the Windies but I'd prefer them in the final for our chances. Though India would make it a more intense final I think.

Agreed. A final against India would be one hell of a cricketing spectacle.

Would love to stick it to India in the final.

Agreed. A final against India would be one hell of a cricketing spectacle. They'll be waving their babies to the camera all over the shop. What is their fascination with doing that in India?
