Both very nice indeed. If push came to shove, I'd go for Bath.

I take it you have nothing constructive to offer

Very much worth a visit. There are usually people in the town centre selling walking tours of the colleges. My advice s take one, it is very good. They take you round the best places and tell you the history.

No cause there's every chance you'll bump into Jeremy f***ing Clarkson.

I've lived in Oxford for 35 years, and never seen Clarkson. Seen Morse, Lewis and Jeremy Paxman though.

Let me know what your interests are and I could put some ideas to you.

Blenheim Palace, nearby, requires a minimum of half a day, or you might like the idea of a tour of the MINI factory for a couple of hours.

A wonderful city with some delightful pubs.
Because it is Oxford, accommodation can be somewhat expensive.
I lived there many, many years ago!

Great pubs. Check out the turf and from memory I think it's called the chequers but from the main cross roads walk down the high street a few yards and it is down an alleyway on the right. Like stepping back a century or 2. The covered market is good for a wonder around as are the colleges. Great city. Bath is great as well
