It's all white I tell you that. Only five miles from my town Croydon and it's the least multi cultural mix I've seen in south London.

Plus I think there are a few nut houses there yeah.

I used to like Sutton.

A happy hunting ground.

Please don't spoil it by telling me they were all weirdos.

All pound shops and pawn shops. The weirdo's home from home.

Optimistic as ever

May be predominantly white - certainly compared with Croydon - but if you listen to the accents/languages spoken as you walk around the High Street you will realise that Sutton has a large Eastern European population now. I only live 2 miles from Sutton but is a very different world there -and gets even more so as you move down the High Street.

Certainly changing is Sutton. Always been renowned for being mainly white, right wing, Chelsea supporting scaffolders.. And despite it being in Surrey (I know it's a London Borough but I just don't consider it as South London!) Sutton on a night out was always nailed on for a tear up with some rough old lads coming from that neck of the woods.

I've lived in Sutton for 30 yrs, since moving from Carshalton. Probably no different to any other High Street in the London Borough.
