Possibly one to look at in the summer. All our efforts should be on bringing in a centre forward in January.

RB/DMF are not positions that we either require strengthening or cover for; we need a goal-scoring striker as a priority. Plus he'll be 31 before the start of next season; hardly one for the future.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I was thinking about this the other day, it would make sense in lots of ways. Played for Pardew at Newcastle, best mates with Cabaye and already lives in London. However, as bexleydave has pointed out, he's already 30 and neither of the positions he plays are ones that we need to strengthen as a priority. That being said, should Jedinak and/or Ledley want to move on to find game time, the prospect of having Cabaye, McArthur and Debuchy as competition for central midfield in an enticing one especially with him also offering competition/back up for Ward at right back. Would probably want loads of money though.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |
