Haha, that's funny

But on a serious note - i'm not saying it's wrong or bad to feel and become transgendered, but, in my opinion, there must be a chemical imbalance that would make you think that way.

I'm nor saying people need to be fixed, in the negative term, but do we really really know the root issue? What if a pill could make a man feeling he is a female, go back to feeling like a man - would that be called progress, or regression? Is it wrong to hold back those thoughts?

i don't know but i draw the line at pretending to be a different age. be whatever gender or whatever. but you can't decide to be 6 years old. you can act like a 6 yo and if some idiot wants to give you money to do it, what do i care. but you're clearly ill.

I'm sure the granddaughter won't be detrimentally affected in any way by having a younger sister who is a 46 year old tranny with a restraining order against his wife for assault and harrassment. Completely normal part of growing up.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I read the comments and was intrigued by what everyone was commenting so had to check the link. I was surprised by the story, it is pretty bonkers but then I thought that, as people say, or I've heard anyway, Canadians are pretty nice people generally - a more laid back and relaxed, tolerant version of america.
Then I thought about the whole situation and thought that it was actually pretty good that this person had found acceptance, especially after feeling suicidal. She had to have been in a pretty bad place. She may have mental health issues but its great that, rather than being judgemental and condemning her she has found a family that will support her and take care of her. I don't know the ins and outs of the situation but the fact she also has a church to go to where people support and accept her is a pretty good thing too. It can't be many places that someone with her condition could go and not be ridiculed and made to feel good about herself. Think it's quite a nice story in a way. Hopefully the family will work it out and they can all learn to just adapt to the whole situation. People are always going through difficult times in their families, this is a pretty extreme example.

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.

Hubert Reeves
