Personally I'm a fan of Wickham, Gayle and Chamakh but I think Bamford and Campbell are poor we need to offload them both and bring in a new striker in January... BUT WHO??? any suggestions?

I think if we can at all avoid buying a striker in Jan we should. It's a terrible market to buy players as values are always way over inflated and the chances of ending up with an over price pile of dogs**t is extremely high.

Having said that....and I know it sounds a little crazy, I wouldn't object to a sneaky bid for Bendtner. currently found warming the bench of Wolfsburg and has something to prove....big, strong and extremely good in the air....even if he is a little mental.

In one way, I sort of agree but in another, if we're in sixth place when the window opens and given the lack of form of the traditional powers, you sort of feel that this may be the year to go for it if ever there was one. What I wouldn't do is spend big money on an unproven talent. But I'd pay even bigger money for someone who really was a goalscorer of proven quality -- not that I expect any to be available.

I'd see Adebayor as a real option, personally. Yes, he's a nutjob and yes, he seems to lose interest after about a year anywhere. But he is also absolutely the real deal for that year in which he's engaged and this season that might very well be enough to get us into Europe.

I should imagine the management will be looking at contingency plans in case we lose key players such as Bolasie and Dann. We could end up rebuilding after Xmas instead of moving forward. I hope not obviously. We are one or two players from something special and if we can keep this team together for the next two years we will motor.

As for tried and tested - we have to bring in youth and develop them because it is good business and we have players who will be past their peak in a couple of years. Patience.

I can see Wickham managing to knock a couple in before the start of January and like Pardew says, Chamakh will be like a new signing. I would like to see Wickham and Gayle tried together, could be a combo that produces results.

We probably will go out and get another striker. Be interesting to see if the investment has come in by then and if it will have any bearing on the magnitude of signing we go for.

Wickham abd gayle won't play together as we'll be very play two strikers. unless at home early rounds cup.

Against Newcastle we played Bolasie and Wickham together.

If we can get to 27/28 points by January and Wickham has banged in a couple by then I'm not sure we should bother to get involved. And as for Bendtner! Really!! Have you ever seen him play?

If Adebayor has proved anything in the last couple of years it's that his desire to play football has gone. More interested in dicking around and taking Spurs for chumps [Link]

Absolutely need to invest in a goal scoring striker next window. A finisher is what we need.
