Can anyone help with info on a local b&b / guest house near the ground please? .. preferably within staggering distance! I'm coming next Wednesday but having a few bevvies so want to stay over for as little as poss ( looking at the hotels in Croydon I'd have to sell the car! )

I use the Travelodge in Whyteleafe when I come back - 25 mins to Norwood Junction, big car park and 5 mins from the M25 for your escape next day - and it's usually pretty cheap.

I regularly stay at the Hampton on Dingwall Road (part of Hilton chain). Not great but ok and good location near East Croydon and walkable to the ground.
