Children conceived via donor sperm now have the right to trace their biological father when they reach 18. Wonder why there's a shortage? I donate blood and am even considering becoming an organ donor when I die. Creating another life though is a different ball game. Imagine some teenage wonderkid that looks the spit of you turns out for Palace. You'd forever be wondering.
Nope it's not my name |

And I believe the mother can demand financial assistance from the biological father (CSA). So some poor bloke thinks he's helping out ends up paying Someone who "donates" regularly could end up fathering 20+ kids - then having to financially support them! They might get more volunteers if the guaranteed anonymity and the woman signed an agreement she wouldn't want any financial support from the donor
Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

I'm not an expert by the way. Not even Kerry Katona wants my jizz.

The problem with the drop in sperm donations probably has more to do with the fact that clinics are no longer allowed to pay for donations. Used to be that you'd get 10-15 a pop, which when I was a student wasn't such a bad deal, for something you'd probably have done anyhow. Now you get bus fare, provided you have a ticket.

Why don't you read the article instead of guessing? Can be paid, can be traced, can't be forced to pay maintenance. The mother can't even get your details, only the child once 18 or over. And there's plenty of w***ers in Birmingham, just not a high enough class of w***ers.

I was sure they'd changed the law sometime back to prevent payment other than travel for sperm.

Equal opportunities? Like f*** there is! Yeah, but lets face it, getting paid 35 quid to have a w*** is hardly working.

If I remember the specifics, the child doesn't have the right to 'get to know you', but its about establishing medical history only. Tell you what, a lot of my guff babies are going to be very disappointed given the history of my family over the last five years.

The child at 18 or over gets to know your details, whether or not you let the child "get to know you" is up to you but they could easily just turn up and say hi. Lucky for you, or should it be them?, the law isn't aplied retrospectively so you'd have had to have been donating since 2005.
