Was twenty years ago: To me, Blur produced the more meaningful music after the 'dual', Oasis produced some bangers and then self destructed. Good time for British music - not just Britpop but Big Beat and thriving dance scene.

I liked both bands but always felt that Blur didn’t really mean it. Oasis were the real deal. As a 14/15 year old at the time, this was the golden era for me. Not a lot of love for Oasis on here though.

The Blur vs. Oasis "feud" was mainly manufactured by the record labels. Neither band seemed too bothered by it all. I preferred Blur. Looking past the superficial big hits (Parklife, country house etc. etc.) they produced some very original stuff. Not that they were my favourite band, but they edge it over Oasis for me.

Oasis. They made the better Albums (obviously only the first 2) And I cannot stand Parklife, Country House and Boys and Girls. Really annoying songs

Favoured the jaunty Pop hits of Blur at the time. Got into Oasis after the hype had died down. Got back in to Blur turn of the millennium, saw them at Hyde Park a few years later, then Oasis' last gig at Wembley, now I think Blur are lefty bellends and have grown a bit tired of Oasis.

His appendix, which had actually been removed at the time.

The answer is Pulp or the Auteurs (Or Suede with Bernard Butler, who just about smashed everything Oasis and Blur did in one album). I prefer Lush (or Echobelly) to either Blur or Oasis. Both are massively over rated on the basis of popularity - They're bands indicative of more talented musicians of their time, who never grew tired of stealing a ride on the bandwagon.
