What's your opinion?

I think its getting better but in todays social media/tele comms society we just hear a lot more bad things much sooner than via traditional methods.

If I'm like the vast majority who only care about what's going on in their own "castle" then it's better. However, I'm not and it's not.

The world is in a very bad place: Economic strain, Iran with Nuclear weapons, mass migration due to civil war, Climate change including year upon year of drought, deforestation, massive pollution of the oceans, species extinction, mushrooming human population growth, the running out of oil and other fossil fuels... The occasional water system and an expensive flat in London is not a better world. Wake up, the place is f*"ked

The end is nigh. There are many similarities to the last days of the Roman Empire. Definitely a fin-de-siècle feel about the place.
