Sorry about the Italian source! "Andrea Ranocchia piace in Inghilterra. Secondo quanto raccolto da Tuttomercatoweb il centrale difensivo, fresco di rinnovo contrattuale con i nerazzurri, piace a West Ham e Crystal Palace." Edited by Fazil Bawlty (17 Jul 2015 7.23pm)

The piece then continues with: meaning that Palace has big ambitions (as the offer for Osvaldo, eventually refused, shows) and could try the assault. Though I'm afraid, that website is not known for his reliability...

English mash up: Some Wiki info: Yes indeed, must be dreaming. this guy seems like an absolutely top drawer international defender, BUT would cost a humungous amount for a defender

If we can get someone who can put in a decent cross, I think we'll found our 15+ goal scorer too...

Dreaming is all well and good as long as we don't totally float away. Cabaye was realistic but only because of pards and that fact we can offer him the playing time he wants. Remy is realistic because he wants game time and with cabaye signing we look like a good place for him (oh and pards again). But this guy? To much dreaming I think. What do we offer him? If it's money then do we want that? London? He already has Milan. Game time? Pretty sure he gets that already. For me cabaye is a dream come true, remy is a nice dream, this guy is brain going on overdrive. That being said, IF we get him I'd be overjoyed. And I'm open to reasonable debate.

I'd presume the main reason would be the Premier League challenge - he's 27 and has only ever known the Italian leagues and might want a 'new challenge. Secondly, it'd be the supposed lure of London. Thirdly, I feel we could (although may be unwilling) offer enough money to draw him in. That said, i'm sure bigger English sides would want him. Still worth a punt for a quality player.
