Froome and sky destroyed the field today. Unless he crash he's won, no one can touch him. Richie Port and Geraint Thomas were also superb.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

One of the most enjoyable stages ever!

Froome gave the peloton a masterclass in climbing and to see Porte blow Quintana into 3rd was sweet.

Even better was seeing Nibali and Cheatador completely spanked.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

I knew Froome wasn't struggling as the Eurosport commentators suggested about 10 minutes before he left Quintana for dead with 7kms to go.

Such a shame that immediately detractors start questioning whether or not he's on drugs rather than the positive aspects of his feat of strength and endurance.

I'm more convinced than ever that Froome could and should have beaten Wiggins in the Tour 3 years ago.

Hoof I agree regarding Wiggins but unfortunately As in F1 team orders ..why do you think wiggins wasn't allowed to defend his TDF win since 2012 he fell out with Sky about that
Can't wait till next week to go over and watch the finale

See if you can get yourself on TV with a Palace flag or something!

I'm tuned into Eurosport every afternoon for the full stage... my Parkinson's disease will mean that's my only option to watch the greatest race on earth.

Definitely Froome would have won the Wiggins tour and I bet if he hadn't crashed last year he may well have won 4 on the spin.

Looking forward to today, I think Sky will drive them all into the ground this afternoon.

Is it right that Sky are finishing their sponsorship, shame they have done great things.

I was breathless after watching that and I was stretched out on the settee. An absolute masterclass in "hill" climbing, destroying the opposition in the process.

It'll be interesting to see how Froome performs today. He put a lot into yesterday's climb, but, then again, he looked a lot more comfortable at the end than those behind him.

Find it a bit of a struggle for your legs I suppose.

Never mind there are plenty of other threads to add your insightful comments.

I think they are ceasing to sponsor British Cycling at large to concentrate on World Domination on the cycling scene. They are already pushing pretty hard for some more top riders and best young talent next year.
