I've always thought Gilette edged it, provided you're talking in the same price bracket. Both beat Bic, the disposable razors are like shaving with a rounded brick. Wilkinson have the better logo, because they have swords.

I find Gilette a bit pricey 4 blades at £22.00 , i bought 4 wilkinson hydro blades for £9.00 and a travel kit for £4.50. altogether less than the price of four Gillete blades. i agree Jamie Gilette probably has the edge although not by much.

I find just putting my head out of the window and waiting for a gust of wind does the best job

I had been using Gilette for ages then saw that Wilkinson heads were cheaper so I bought one of their razors. It cut me to bits. I fork out for Gilette now. Lesson learnt.

Wilkinson just for kicking the winning goal in the 2003 rugby world cup final!
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

Philips. You don't want to faf around with a wet shave. Get an electric razor and free yourself.

I began my shaving life with Wilkinson Sword but always got razor rash so I switched to Gillette Mach 3 and have used them for many years and have never had a problem with them. I also use Kinexium shaving oil by King of Shaves [Link] and it's simply brilliant! Not so long ago Gillette talked about ending the Mach 3 range so I bought the King of Shaves Azor razor [Link] and all I can say is that it was like dragging a potato peeler across my face. Thankfully Gillette canned their planned move.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Never tried Wilkinson to be honest, always used Gillette and never had a problem. I did once make the monumental mistake of trying a bic razor and suffice to say I may as well have used bits of broken glass attached to a floor sander. Edited by jimruss (14 Jul 2015 4.19pm)

I had my first Shave with my Wilkinson yesterday was pretty pleased with it as it goes. gave me a good shave, as i said in earlier post Gilette are probably the best but at £22.00 for four blades is way over the top.
